JBlaze is a popular Hip-Hop and Rap artist, who
has made a name for himself in the southwest, as a producer,
songwriter, and talented musician. JBlaze was approached by DSN Music to
produce, and mix a record that
could be marketed exclusively for the Internet. After several months, J
polished out a Hip-Hop masterpiece, that went above and beyond the
traditional music genre. In
June of 2003, J put the final touches on the album "Reflections". J had previously released two
other independent projects such as "Seven"
in 2002, which included the original version of "Louding Off", and popular single "Off My Chest". Both CD releases sold
well locally in the Phoenix area, and helped stir a street buzz for
JBlaze in Arizona.
Reflections
first single "Soul Mates" became
one
of the most downloaded songs on the Internet in the Summer of
2003. As
well as receiving airplay on many pop stations on the west coast. With the
success of the first single,
another more serious topic was addressed with the 9/11 inspired track "Live
Life".
This song offers an insight into the
emotions of the families, and lost souls who were effected by the
events of that tragic day in America.
JBlaze has dedicated
his craft to writing about
positive events, and relationships in today's world. J has also had to
fight the stigma of being a white rapper, and making his mark in a
traditional Hip-Hop music industry. "Soul Mates" even
attracted executives at Warner Bros.
Records, with it's distinguished pop hit sound.
DSNMusic released the Reflections CD in the
Summer of 2003, and has offered
several tracks for free and legal digital download. Today, JBlaze continues to write,
rap,
and produce, with the release of his 2005, and third album Sullen 2 Influential, featuring the
new single "Pimp Game". In 2006
J returned to the Life City Recording Studios in
Phoenix to cut several new singles including the popular "Together Forever."
In addition, DSN Music produced
a music video for the remix version of "Live
Life" - the controversial 9/11 video has also become a popular
download. (see below)
