Las Vegas -- Hailing from the
entertainment capital of the world, emerges a performer who knows how
to get down and dirty... Dan Diamond.
His recent rise to national prominence comes after releasing the
international and controversial club single She's A Dancer.
This multi-talented Las Vegas entertainer has really taken the industry
by storm! Diamond's music and on-stage show is an exciting mix of
electronica, dance, electro-rock and sexy beats.
Appearing at such
events as the New York Exxxotica at the
Meadowlands Convention Center, has increased his popularity with the
adult entertainment world as well. "I
love it! It is what it
is.. you use it to get what you want and do what you
do.. its very simple be
safe, smart, and network.. don't be stupid" - Diamond told DSN in a
recent interview. "The
adult world will pay you more than any club will, but
you have to go easy.. cause
they will use you so fast, they won't want you later!"
Diamond's risqué music videos have found their own underground
fan base, with such favorites as Bad Habits and I Wanna Go Down,
which were produced by Jimmie
"Speedy" Gonzalez. This lead Dan to establish his own production
companies with Peepshow Recordings
and Spacetoonz
Media. The young savvy entrepreneur would now have a
business model to showcase his various projects, while continuing to
perform.
Originally from the Detroit area, Dan started producing music as a
session engineer for The Disc studios. Eventually rising to become an
underground sensation in the clubs of Michigan.
It wasn't until 2003 that he collaborated with Gonzalez in Las Vegas on
the first mixes of Therapy,
which caught the ear of Sander
Kleinenberg in the UK.. This exposed their new sound to
worldwide distribution via Sander's Everybody mix
releases.
Early in his career, Dan performed with such acts as the Insane Clown
Posse, "Oh
man that's a classic..yea I
was on tour with ICP under the name "Superglu".. that
was '97"- said Diamond. "The
producer Mike E. Clark for
ICP heard the tracks I was doing, and said that shit is tight! So,
next thing I know I'm
performing at 4,000 arenas in 5 different states. It was very scary
throwing 2
liters of fago on 18yr old kids for my first gig!"
Milestones...
Dan Diamond's national and international club showcase, known as
the Peepshow Tour,
has helped raise awareness for the aspiring pop artist. The
controversial and un-edited music video for She's A Dancer,
turned heads in Europe after being aired on MTV UK.
Diamond has been featured on the Howard
Stern show, as well as the short film Blood On The Tissues, featured in Stern's 2006 Film
Festival. Other national radio appearances have included
Playboy Radio on Sirius satellite, and online dance
radio powerhouse TEKLAB.
Recently returning to his Michigan roots, Dan hooked up with Kid Rock producer Mike E. Clark, to take things to the
next level. "The
best producer I have ever
worked with by far! The style he does, and where its going..
with him.. oh man.. and
just him as a person makes it right It's all about the chemistry.. his
sound his
bangin!"
Today, Dan's music is evolving, moving from the dance-club crowd, to a
more mainstream rock feel. "The
dance scene is great; it's
where I come from, its what is a part of me. Detroit
underground rave parties are
what I was raised on, but at the same time. I didn't close my eyes to
the mainstream,
why should I.. ya know?"
As he heads in a new direction, his music videos continue to push the
enevelope, but Dan takes a no-non sense approach to it, "No
one wants to hear or see
wack shit no more! It's about really being you, if that calls for me
being controversial.. so be it."
