Danny
Jones is a instrumental rock guitarist from in Northern
California. Danny started
playing guitar at the age of twelve after seeing childhood friend Larry
Lalonde of Primus play Ted Nugent's Cat Scratch Fever
and Van Halen's Ain't
Talking About Love. Danny became obsessed with the guitar, and
began
taking lessons with veteran musician George
Cole. George was a huge influence on Danny in
his younger years, getting him interested in playing jazz
standards, classical and country guitar. In Danny's late teens he began
to study with rock guitar legend Joe
Satriani. Joe had a major impact on Danny's style and
songwriting. As Danny states, "Joe showed me with the instrumental
stuff, there is no limit on what you can do, he sure put a foot in my
ass!" In the 1990's Danny won the Best
of the Bay
contest two years in a row, and received airplay on San Francisco rock
station 97.3 FM. Danny has been featured in leading musician magazines
such as Guitar World, and Guitar Player Magazine. Danny's
heart is still in the
rock instrumental field, however he also does session work
for all kinds of music such as rock, country and even Hip Hop. Danny
Jones has played i concert with rock legends such as Ronnie Montrose, TheEric
Martin Band, Telsa, Frank
