Fromthe
streets of Sin City, hails one of the nation's most cutting edge acts, Corner Stone. This five man
Las Vegas group brings a mix of Alternative Rock, and Rap to a whole
new level since 2000. Led by the talents of one of the original members
- Randall Logan, Corner Stone
has risen from the streets, to a reality. Lots of hard work over the
years, has made the group a player in the Vegas music scene. After
releasing their first single Pull, the track
received immediate attention from Active Rock radio outlet Extreme
RadioKXTE-FM/Las
Vegas. Radio airplay helped the group make a name for itself, in a very
competitive rock market. Cross-town rival KOMP-FM also added the cut, leading
Randall and the boys to make a move on a full blown album. This hard
working posse consists of Randall on lead vocals & saxophone,
Rocky Meisner on
bass, guitarists Scott Herhold,
Ryan Puskarich, and
Jasom McNelis on
drums.
In 2002, Corner Stone released
their self produced debut album Corrective
Action, which really made some news. The CD offered several high
profile cuts such as Curious,
which made the airwaves outside of Las Vegas, breaking the group into
national radio airplay. Corrective
Action, also crossed over from the rock side, to more of the Hip
Hop/rap world as Top-40 radio outlet KLUC-FMin
Las Vegas spun the
single Isn't ItAmazin.
The group received national press, as reviews on the release gained
positive momentum across the country, and the Internet.
Corner
Stone has also crossed another level of success, and that is its
high profile live shows. These guys create a high energy concert, that
attracts a very wide spectrum of music lovers, crossing all barriers. Corner Stone
has
opened for the like of DJ Peretz
(Perry Farrell of Jane’s
Addiction)
and Suburban Noize Records
artists The Phunk Junkeez and
won the local finals of the 2004 A Shot At Cabo Wabo
battle of the bands at the Las Vegas
Hard Rock Cafe. In addition, the band caught the attention
of Budweiser, and was added to
their True Music Live music
network. Corner Stone has taken hip-hop, rock, and funk,
put it in a blender, and made it a style all their own!
Another achievement for the group, is the continuous music downloads
they receive via the Internet. Corner
Stone mp3 tracks have continued to rate high over the DSN Music network since 2003, as
well as others like Download.com.
Featuring their more recent singles such as Tremble, and Play Dumb.
Randall and the guys continue to bring their flesh flavor of music, as
they look forward to new projects, and playing live!
